The Global Eco Artisan Awards by AGAATI Foundation has been an international platform for great learning, sharing of art and talent from across the world and getting to know artisans we otherwise would not have.
ENDANGERED CRAFTS
- Revival and Conservation
With every new list of “Endangered Crafts” or “Crafts in Urgent Need of Safeguarding” published, the light of tradition and culture diminishes a little. The loss of these crafts means a loss of heritage, culture and history dating back to ancient times. However, not all hope is lost, thanks to the torchbearers below who have been working hard towards keeping these crafts alive and trying to brighten the fading light.

The earliest traces of jewelry are not known, but one thing is for certain, the art of making and wearing jewelry has existed for thousands of years. This art is a channel of self-expression and creativity. So much appreciation for the jewelry artisans for adding beauty and enhancing the personality of our individual styles.

LIVING SPACES - DÉCOR
The art of creating decor pieces brings so much life, warmth and beauty into lifeless spaces, turning otherwise insignificant matter into something so intricate and ravishing. Every cut, bend and carving involves utmost diligence, patience and skillfulness. Always grateful to these craftsmen for offering to the world, never-seen-before designs, created using unique handcrafted techniques.

Handwoven textiles are narratives, woven and decorated by these thoughts and emotions that flow through each yarn, weft and warp, colors and patterns, carefully crafted with sincere love, care and creativity. Here we share the stories of talented crafters of traditional and contemporary textiles.
Every piece of art has a story to tell, and in light of our theme of “Resurgence” this year, we bring together stories of sustainable art practices using eco-friendly materials to create one-of-a-kind objects of art.

Textiles represent cultures and traditions, life, dreams and creativity of makers and so much more. They are art forms carrying messages from the universe generation after generation. The art of ornamenting & decorating the surface of a fabric by hand is soul-fulfilling to makers and becomes precious possession for many. Here we have, the makers offering precious possessions.
